Manufacturer: Centurion Laboratories, India
Pharmaceutical name: Vardenafil HCL
Vilitra is an inhibitor of phosphodiesterase. It functions by relaxing muscles and enhancing blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal, assisting men in achieving and sustaining an erection. Vilitra is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (impotence).

Avoid taking Vilitra if you are using a nitrate medication for chest discomfort or cardiac issues (for instance, nitroglycerin). If you experience dizziness, nausea, or pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw during sexual activity, discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately. These symptoms could indicate a severe side effect of Vilitra. Seek your doctor's help or emergency medical assistance if your erection is painful or persists for more than 4 hours, as a prolonged erection (priapism) may damage the penis.

To ensure it is safe for you to take Vilitra, inform your doctor if you have any of the following conditions: heart disease, arrhythmia, hypertension or hypotension, seizures, liver or kidney disease (or if you are undergoing dialysis), blood cell disorders such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia, bleeding disorders like hemophilia, a stomach ulcer, hearing or vision issues, a history of vision loss, eye disorders such as retinitis pigmentosa (an inherited eye condition), any physical deformity of the penis (like Peyronie's disease), or if you have been advised against sexual activity for health reasons.

Vilitra may reduce blood flow to the optic nerve, potentially leading to sudden vision loss. This has been reported in a small number of individuals taking Vardenafil, most of whom had underlying conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or certain eye problems, and was more common among smokers or individuals over 50 years of age. It is unclear if Vilitra directly causes vision loss. Immediately stop using Vilitra and seek emergency medical assistance if you experience sudden vision loss.

Vilitra is not intended for use by women, and it is not known whether Vardenafil is excreted in breast milk or if it could harm a nursing infant. Do not use Vilitra without consulting your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
